Pumping Tips
Pump eight or more times in 24 hours
Label bottle with baby’s name, date and time you pumped
Combine milk from the left and right bottles if needed, never combine warm and cold milk
Fill bottles no more than ¾ full (milk expands when it is frozen)
Milk is good for four hours at room temperature and four days in the refrigerator
Frozen milk is good for 3-12 months depending on type of freezer
Thawed milk is good for 24 hours
Clean your pump parts after each pumping with soap and water in a separate basin and sterilize the parts once a day using the sterilization bag in the lactation room
