Clinical instructors are expected to contact the unit managers 3-4 weeks in advance of the clinical start date to schedule a department to their clinical rotation units. Please review your semester goals, objectives and expectations of the student nurses and student nurse preceptors. Any clinical experience (such as immersion) that differs from traditional nursing clinical rotations must be discussed with unit manager before clinical placement schedule finalized in relation to the total number of students on the floor to ensure that each student's learning needs and schedule can be supported. The manager can provide overview of unit operations, and can provide or assign someone to provide a unit tour. A designee on the unit will have to enroll the clinical instructor into Omnicell.
