President’s Greetings

Welcome to The Chester County Hospital School of Nursing (CCHSON) Alumni Association web page! We are online and encouraging graduates who are not members of the Association to take this opportunity to become familiar with the Alumni Association and join our ranks. Chester County Hospital graduated 110 classes from its Diploma Program and the Alumni Association continues to be extremely active.

The Chester County School of Nursing has a rich and vibrant history, being one of the few Nursing Programs honored by the National League for Nursing for consistent 100% first time pass rates on State Board Licensure Exams (the NCLEX). Many of our graduates have gone on to receive further degrees including BSN, MSN, NP, PhD, DNS, and MD.  Several have served in the armed forces. Others have worked all over world in numerous capacities. The Association supports nursing education with a donation to the Chester County Hospital Foundation Board annually.

In 1905, the association was established and today we continue with the tradition of supporting each other in maintaining a viable, flexible organization. We have a room full of memorabilia dating back to the early years of the nursing program. Some of the items are displayed at our luncheon. It is our goal to have a permanent display museum in the Hospital after construction is complete. Who knows -- maybe we will get out the sterling silver tea set and serve tea in the Parlor again.
