Meet Our Heart & Vascular Nurse Navigators:

Ms. Friedberg earned her bachelor of science in nursing from Temple University in 1999 and has been with Chester County Hospital since 2016. Her previous experience has given her an extensive background in critical care nursing in addition to caring for patients with heart failure. Presently, she is a heart and vascular nurse navigator where she educates patients and helps them coordinate services.
Nicole DiFabrizio, BSN, MSN  - Cardiovascular Nurse Navigator at Chester County Hospital  Nicole DiFabrizio, BSN, MSN 
Ms. DiFabrizio started as a Registered Nurse at Chester County Hospital in 1999 starting in the PCU and over the years working in Telemetry, PINU, and cardiac surgery step-down units.  Nikki furthered her education, earning her BSN from West Chester University in 2009 and her MSN from Grand Canyon University in 2015.  She was awarded the H.L. Perry Pepper Leadership Award from Chester County Hospital in 2015 for her contributions to the hospital’s Magnet Award.  Nikki joined the Nurse Navigator Team in 2019 and also helps with TAVR surgical planning.

 

 Kristin Taylor, BSN, RN, PCCN, CV-BC Kristin Taylor, BSN, RN, PCCN, CV-BC
Ms. Taylor started as a Registered Nurse at Chester County Hospital in 1997 in the PCU/Telemetry Department.  She was awarded Employee of the Year in 2002.  The opportunity to be part of the opening of the new Post Interventional Unit (PINU) in 2003 was offered to her and she worked there until 2013.  She then transitioned to the Critical Care Support Dept. as a SAM nurse, remotely monitoring the heart rhythms of patients admitted to the hospital and her role also included being part of the rapid response team.  Her 24 years of cardiac clinical experience gives her the knowledge to educate patients and coordinate appropriate outpatient services.  Kristin was awarded H.L. Perry Pepper Leadership Award in 2018 and The Dianne Lanham UPHS Award for Leadership in 2019.
 

Office Nurse at The Heart Valve Center:

Nurses also play a vital role as part of an interdisciplinary team at the The Heart Valve Center at Chester County Hospital and work with cardiologists for the evaluation, management and follow up of valvular heart disease patients.

Abby Ferriola, RN, BSN, PCCN Abby Ferriola, RN, BSN, PCCN
Ms. Ferriola earned her bachelor of science in nursing from West Chester University in 2005 and has extensive experience in cardiac nursing in addition to caring for patients with heart failure. She has been with Chester County Hospital since 2003 and has held nursing roles in telemetry in addition to the Progressive Care Unit (PICU), and was instrumental in opening the 4 North Unit. Presently, she is the site nurse and navigator for The Heart Valve Center at Chester County Hospital.
