A charitable gift annuity is a win-win. You make an irrevocable gift and receive fixed payments for life. You'll receive a current income tax deduction for a portion of your gift if your gift is funded with cash or securities. The Chester County Hospital Foundation receives any remaining portion of your gift after your lifetime.

If you fund a gift annuity with appreciated securities, you may also reduce capital gains.

Individuals age 70½ or older have a one-time option to fund a gift annuity with a tax-free transfer from their IRA, known as a "qualified charitable distribution".

The amount of your gift annuity payment depends upon the value of the assets you donate and your age at the time of the donation (or the age of the individual you name to receive gift annuity payments).

Gift annuity rates are those suggested by the American Council on Gift Annuities, a national organization.
