This four-week educational program (one class per week) is for individuals with newly diagnosed or uncontrolled Type 2 Diabetes. Teachings review basic diabetes management principles and include the following AADE7 self-care behaviors:
- Healthy eating
- Being active
- Monitoring
- Taking medication
- Problem solving
- Reducing risks
- Healthy coping

Most services are covered by insurance. All patients must have a prescription from their doctor to receive diabetes education services.
