Process Improvement Teams
The hospital's process improvement teams are constantly evaluating operations in all areas of the hospital and searching for ways to improve care and services to our patients. Leaders of these teams regularly report their activities to a multidisciplinary hospital committee, which meets monthly to monitor and discuss quality improvement.
External Quality Review
In conjunction with internal quality improvement activities, which are constantly taking place, many external quality review organizations make regular on-site visits to all areas of the hospital to evaluate patient care and safety. Hospital accrediting bodies include the Joint Commission, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Chester County Hospital consistently receives excellent ratings from the surveys conducted by the regulating agencies.
