The architects and engineers of Ballinger and the builders of LF Driscoll are proud partners of Chester County Hospital. As organizations who have been deeply rooted in the Philadelphia area since the late 1800s and 1929 respectively, both companies share a strong sense of community responsibility—a perfect complement to the mission and values of Chester County Hospital.
The hospital has collaborated with Ballinger since 1996 and the current construction project is the second time that we have worked with LF Driscoll. During fiscal year 2017, in honor of the hospital’s 125th Anniversary, both Ballinger and LF Driscoll made generous contributions to the Foundation to help support the hospital’s service to the community. We are grateful for their generosity and the expertise and excellence that they bring to our shared projects.
Planning for an expansion of this size and complexity requires consensus building among multiple stakeholders to answer critical questions. Long before the north entrance doors were sealed on May 12, 2017 (shown above with our partners from LF Driscoll, Ballinger, and Penn Medicine), Chester County Hospital adopted an open-door policy for planning.
"For both our firms, working with the hospital is a true pleasure. Its visionary leaders and medical providers serve as stewards to the community, delivering the most advanced care possible. In return for the hospital's commitment to the community's health, it's quite evident that the respect from the community is mutual. Ballinger and LF Driscoll are proud to partner with Chester County Hospital to design and build its hospital campus where innovative design and architectural and engineering excellence are prominently on display."

Renderings of Chester County Hospital’s current expansion project include a new front door for the hospital--the gateway to advanced capabilities and amenities, including a new 99-bed patient tower and 18 new operating rooms.
An inviting light-filled lobby and panoramic views will greet our patients and guests upon arrival. A new ground floor courtyard which will serve as a verdant extension of the lobby.
