Andre A. Konski, MD, MBA, MA, FACR
Clinical Professor & Medical Director

Dr. Konski earned his medical degree in 1984 from New York Medical College. He earned a Master’s in Business Administration (1995) as well as a Master of Arts in Economics (1998) from the University of Toledo. In 1988, he completed his residency in radiation oncology at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York.

Dr. Konski joined the Medical College of Ohio as an Assistant Professor in 1988 and was appointed as Clinical Associate Professor in 1990. In 2002, he joined Fox Chase Cancer Center as an Attending Physician and was named Medical Director of the Fox Chase Cancer Center Partner’s Program. Soon after, he was appointed Professor and Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan and also served as Chief of Radiation Therapy at he Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Center also in Detroit.

Dr. Konski has been consistently named a “Top Doc” and “Top Cancer Doc” by Castle Connolly and a “Top Doc” by Main Line Today and Philadelphia magazines.

 


Kristina Novick, MD, MS
Department of Radiation Oncology

Dr. Novick is a radiation oncologist who specializes in the treatment of cancer and benign diseases of multiple body sites, including brain, thoracic, gastrointestinal, skin, bone, genitourinary, gynecologic, and head and neck.  She has expertise in the use of intensity modulated radiation therapy, image guided radiation therapy, stereotactic body radiation therapy, brachytherapy and unsealed sources.

Dr. Novick’s interests include health policy, palliative care and supportive care.  She serves as an Alternate Delegate from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) to the American Medical Association (AMA) House of Delegates.  In recent years, she has become an advocate for the appropriate use of opioid medications in cancer patients and has lectured widely on the challenges of prescribing opioid medications during the opioid epidemic.  She was appointed as the ASCO representative to the AMA Opioid Task Force and member of the ASCO Opioid Use Panel.  She is also Vice-Chair for the American Radium Society (ARS) Appropriate Use Criteria Breast Cancer Committee and has helped formulate guidelines on the appropriate radiation treatment of patients with breast cancer. 

Dr. Novick earned her undergraduate degree in economics from Princeton University.  She received her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. She completed her residency training in radiation oncology at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where she also earned a Master’s of Science in biostatistics. She continued working in Rochester, New York following residency at Rochester Regional Health.

While not at work, Dr. Novick enjoys running, hiking and spending time with her family.  Although born and raised in San Diego, California, she prefers mountains over beaches and snow over rain.  She has competed nationally in cross country, track and road races, but now mostly aims to keep up with her two young children and dog.  She is excited to be joining the Penn Medicine team and serving patients from Chester and Delaware Counties as well as northern Delaware.
