Together with the Brandywine Polo Club, the Turks Head Branch of The Women's Auxiliary to The Chester County Hospital invites the community to enjoy the fast-paced "Sport of Kings" at the 7th Annual Chester County Hospital Polo Cup.
On Sunday, June 9, the hill overlooking the Brandywine Polo field in Toughkenamon will be capped with the crisp white peaks of tents. Ladies will don their finest hats and children will run about playing games and making crafts. Live music will entertain shoppers browsing hand-crafted items from local vendors and picking up great deals at the Silent Auction. The announcer's voice will boom through the public address system, and all eyes will turn to the polo field. Brightly colored teams will sit high atop majestic polo ponies as the announcer runs through a brief tutorial on the rules of a Polo match for first-time spectators. With the perfect vantage point for the fast-paced match, guests of the VIP tent will enjoy cuisine catered by Limoncello Ristorante. New to the Polo Cup this year, a Beer Garden will keep our guests cool and festive while enjoying the match. Here you will be able to try your hand at Polo atop our Beer Garden Horse. Bring your family and friends and enjoy our Family Tailgate Tent option. Children under 16 are free to attend the event and can enjoy complimentary children's activities while their parents tailgate and watch the action on the field.
Polo Cup Benefits the Prenatal Clinic
All proceeds support the Women's Auxiliaries pledge to The Chester County Hospital and Health System. Specifically, this year, the Turks Head Auxiliary is proud to support the Hospital's Prenatal Clinic. All women deserve the opportunity to access the best healthcare possible, regardless of their insurance status. Through our Clinic Services, The Chester County Hospital offers hospital-based maternity care and services to patients in need. The Clinic has been delivering hands-on Ob/Gyn care to women, young mothers, and expectant parents in office locations in West Chester and Kennett Square for more than 30 years. It offers reduced-rate gynecology care, affordable pre-natal care, and childbirth deliveries in a comfortable and personalized setting.
