Dr. HewittDr. Maureen Hewitt received the Norma E. Ciccarone Award of Hope on March 6 from Cuddle My Kids. Dr. Hewitt was honored due to her significant and enduring contributions to our cancer community, including the time she spends educating Cuddle My Kids volunteers during their orientation. Cuddle My Kids provides in-home support, wellness support, a community support group, educational resources, and a drop-off program for children of cancer patients in our community. Congratulations to Dr. Hewitt.

"Cuddle My Kids is proud to honor Dr. Maureen Hewitt's significant and enduring contributions to the cancer community, its patients, families and medical professionals. Dr. Hewitt received her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Science Center. She completed an internship and residency program in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She also completed a fellowship in Oncology and Hematology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Hewitt is a member of The Chester County Hospital Medical Staff and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology. She was named "Top Doc" from Main Line Today magazine, and awarded the Patients Choice Award and Compassionate Doctor Recognition. Dr. Maureen Hewitt has touched the lives of so many people with her gentle, kind heart and fierce determination to see her patients well and cancer free. In addition to providing exceptional care, compassion and concern for her patients, she is married to John Hewitt and has two young children."
