Allied Health Science Technology is an exploratory program for academically talented high school seniors. The purpose of the program is to generate interest in health care careers, a field which has witnessed shortages over the years. Exposing students to a variety of health care modalities provides them with a good and basic understanding of hospital opportunities. It allows students to be better prepared for studying nursing, pre-medicine, biomedical engineering, pre-physical therapy, and pharmacology in college. This is an intense program of both didactic information and clinical rotations.
