Non-healing wounds can be a source of pain and disability. Our Wound Management Program was created to help patients with difficult wound-healing problems. Chronic wound management demands a team approach. Successful treatment requires highly specialized and closely coordinated care. Our Wound Management Program designs a complete, individualized treatment plan for each patient, involving the patient's family doctor or referring physician.

Our Wound Management Program supports the goals of The CardioVascular Center at The Chester County Hospital by providing an interdisciplinary approach to disease management. Our physicians work together for the treatment of wounds. Our specialized staff has extensive training and expertise in wound healing and provides support to patients, their families, and caregivers through comprehensive educational programs.

The types of wounds that can benefit from the Wound Care Center's therapies include:

• Diabetic foot ulcers
• Venous stasis ulcers
• Wounds caused by circulatory problems
• Pressure sores
• Burns
• Wounds resulting from post-operative incision breakdown
